FINE CUISINE ARTS STARTED AT A YOUNG AGE
Chef Eduard Frauneder, one of the youngest Michelin-starred chefs from Austria is an Austrian/American acclaimed chef in New York City with over seventeen years of culinary experience. A fine food enthusiast who is never short of culinary ideas and inspired by Austrians history, culture and its fine Austrian cuisine.

for his promising career in the culinary world and his passion for food was cultivated at an early age, as Eduard began working alongside his father in the multiple bakeries and pastry shops he owned in Vienna. He later received his degree from the College of Hospitality and Tourism at the Vienna Culinary Institute where he was trained in all aspects of the culinary arts and restaurant management.
Eduard’s early career steps gave him great exposure into the diplomatic world where he made his name well known in the world of foreign dignitaries and ambassadors all around the world.
Delegates Dining NY
He opened his first concept restaurant, Bistro Andromeda for the UN headquarters in Vienna and later became the executive chef for the Austrian ambassador to the United Kingdom. In 2001 he started to operate the Private Delegates Dining Room located in the German Mission to the United Nations building in New York City, where he remains active today.
Eduard continues to serve countless well-known businesses, public figures, foreign dignitaries and ambassadors with his fine cuisine.
To meet the high demands for his culinary services he started his first event catering business to service the NY Metro area and beyond.
Michelin Star Restaurant
A few years later Eduard opened the soon to be well known Seäsonal Restaurant and Wine Bar. Bringing contemporary Austrian cuisine to a new level, Seäsonal was awarded a Michelin Star and 25 food points from Zagat Guide in 2010 -2012 and was named one of New York Magazine’s “Best New Restaurants” of 2010.
Never short of ideas and inspired by Austrians history, culture and fine cuisine new concept restaurants and bars followed over the years, painting their success and name all over town.
Culinary Victories
Edi has been featured in various broadcast programs including a victory on Iron Chef America, as a judge on The Food Network’s Chopped, CBS The Dish, and as a season winner on Esquire Network’s Knife Fight.
Today, Eduard owns some of NYC’s trendiest and popular restaurants and bars and brings the finest of New York City’s catering to people, businesses and events of any size. He never stops thinking of new and innovative culinary ideas and continues to delight customers from all over the world.
